Mega Zipline — Iceland's Longest Zipline
Just 45 minutes from Reykjavík, Mega Zipline is one of Iceland's most exhilarating adventures. From the Kambar plateau above Hveragerði, you fly a full kilometre across the dramatic Svartagljúfur gorge — waterfalls, canyon walls, and the geothermal Reykjadalur valley unfolding beneath you the whole way across.
The Experience
Two Lines, Side by Side
Two parallel lines let you and a companion fly together. Choose a seated harness for a relaxed glide, or go headfirst for a faster, more adrenaline-charged descent — reaching speeds close to 100 km/h.
A 13-Metre Free-Fall, Puffin-Style
For an extra thrill, Mega Zipline also offers an optional 13-metre free-fall drop — inspired by the cliff-diving puffins found along Iceland's coastline.
Getting There
By Car
The easiest way to reach Mega Zipline is by car. Enter “Hveragerði” or “Reykjadalur” into Google Maps or Apple Maps and follow Route 1 from Reykjavík — about 50 km, roughly 45 minutes.
By Bus
Bus No. 51 also runs from Reykjavík to Hveragerði. The stop is about 4 km from the reception centre, so plan to walk or take a short taxi from there.
Please arrive about 20 minutes before your booking, and dress in windproof clothing and sturdy shoes — Icelandic weather can change quickly.
