Suspended before a giant spherical screen, your feet dangling in the open air, you soar over Iceland's glaciers, cliffs and highlands — real aerial footage, real wind, real mist, all timed to a sweeping score. No two seats in Reykjavík get you this close to the whole country in 35 minutes.
The Experience
The Longhouse
The experience opens in a recreated Viking longhouse. By the light of a crackling fire, a storyteller — brought to life through shadow play — weaves a tale of early Iceland and the people who first settled it.
The Well of Time
Next, a second pre-show explores Iceland's creation through music, animation and video, guided by a wise troll drawn from local folklore — the forces of nature and the human spirit brought together right before you.
This is Súvitra — the troll who guides the story of how Iceland itself came to be, before you take your seat for the flight.
The Flight
Finally, you're lifted into chairlift-style seats suspended before a 20-metre spherical screen for an 8.5-minute flight — real footage filmed across a full year over Iceland's ancient ice formations, dramatic mountains, the Dyrhólaey cliffs and the Landmannalaugar highlands. Wind, mist and scent are timed to the film and the ride's motion, so the illusion of flying is complete.
Guests must be at least 100cm (40") tall to ride. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. We recommend arriving a little early to allow time for check-in before your scheduled flight.
