Iceland's Lagoons

Blue Lagoon — Iceland's Most Famous Geothermal Spa

Steam drifting over milky-blue water, black lava all around, a silica mask on your face and a drink in your hand — the Blue Lagoon is the classic Icelandic bathing experience, and an easy stop on the way to or from Keflavík Airport.

The Experience

01

The Water

The lagoon's water is geothermal seawater, rich in silica, algae and minerals, that gives it its famous milky-blue colour. It stays at a comfortable 37–39°C all year, whatever the weather is doing around you.

02

The Rituals

Every pass includes a silica mud mask, scooped from a wooden station at the edge of the water. Premium adds a second mask, a bathrobe and slippers, and Signature adds a skincare set to take home.

03

Arrival or Departure Day

The lagoon sits about 20 minutes from Keflavík Airport, so many guests visit straight off an early flight or on the way home. Luggage storage is available on site.
